Community Engagement Policy

At Jones AV, we believe in the power of community engagement. Our Community Engagement Policy encourages employees to participate in volunteer activities and philanthropic efforts, reinforcing our commitment to social responsibility.
Purpose
This policy aims to promote employee involvement in community service and matched giving initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and positive impact within our communities.
Policy Details
Matched Giving Program
The Matched Giving program allows employees to choose local charities, and the company matches their contributions to support the causes they care about.
Charitable Organizations Eligibility:
- Must be a registered charity. You can find if a charity is registered on the relevant charity registers:
- England and Wales: Charity Commission for England
- Scotland: Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR)
- Northern Ireland: Charity Commission for Northern Ireland
- Must align with the company’s values and ethical standards.
- Political, religious, and private foundations are excluded unless designated for a non-political and non-religious project
Matching Contributions:
- Match Ratio: 1:1 up to £100 per employee per calendar year
- Aggregate Limits: Subject to an annual budget of £1000
Procedures:
- Employees request that their donation be matched with proof of donation within 60 days of their contribution
- The managing director reviews and approves requests, with funds disbursed within 30 days of approval
- Employees are notified of the status via email
Volunteer Days Program
We offer 2 days of paid volunteer time per year for every employee to participate in local community service activities.
Volunteer Hours:
- Employees are entitled to up to 2 days of paid leave per calendar year for volunteering
- Volunteer activities must be with organizations that align with Company values, supporting non-political and non-religious projects
Procedures:
- Employees request time off for volunteering at least two weeks in advance
- HR and direct managers review and approve requests based on eligibility and scheduling
- Proof of participation must be provided after the volunteer activity
Compliance and Exceptions:
- Volunteer activities are subject to audit and verification
- Abuse of volunteer leave results in disciplinary action
