Social Responsibility Policy

At Jones AV we recognize our responsibility to contribute to sustainable development and promote social responsibility in all our business activities, in accordance with our mission statement – “Innovate | Grow Sustainably”. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical and responsible behaviour and creating value for our stakeholders while respecting the interests of society at large.

Scope

This Policy covers all Jones AV employees, regardless of position or status, contractors and subcontractors, all suppliers of goods and services. We will ensure that our employees are aware of this policy and understand their responsibilities to comply with its requirements. For our supply base, we will communicate this policy to all suppliers and require that they comply with our social responsibility standards. We will work with our suppliers to ensure that they understand and comply with our requirements, and we will monitor their compliance through regular risk assessments, audits, and other forms of evaluation. We recognize that our supply base is an integral part of our operations, and we are committed to ensuring that all suppliers share our commitment to social responsibility. By extending our policy to our supply base, we aim to promote responsible practices throughout our supply chain and minimize any negative impact of our operations on the environment, workers, and communities.

Aims:

We are committed to the following principles of social responsibility:

  • Human Rights: We are committed to respecting and promoting human rights in all our operations, including non-discrimination, freedom of association, and the elimination of forced or child labour
  • Labour Practices: We are committed to promoting fair and safe labour practices, including providing a safe and healthy work environment, fair wages and benefits, and opportunities for training and career development
  • Environment: We are committed to minimizing our impact on the environment through reducing energy consumption, waste generation, and greenhouse gas emissions, and to promoting environmentally sustainable practices, such as sustainable packaging, public/shared transport, virtual meetings
  • Fair Operating Practices: We are committed to promoting fair operating practices in all our business relationships, including ensuring transparency and accountability in our financial reporting, and promoting ethical practices among our suppliers and partners. Consumer Issues: We are committed to promoting consumer rights, including product safety, honest and transparent advertising, and fair pricing practices.
  • Community Involvement and Development: We are committed to being a responsible and engaged member of the communities where we operate, including supporting local economic development and providing assistance to those in need

To achieve these commitments, we will:

  • Continually review and improve our policies and practices related to social responsibility
  • Regularly measure and report our progress in meeting our social responsibility objectives
  • Actively engage with our stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and local communities, to understand their needs and concerns related to social responsibility
  • Provide appropriate training and support to our employees to ensure they understand and adhere to our social responsibility policies and practices
  • Partner with suppliers and other stakeholders who share our commitment to social responsibility

This Social Responsibility Policy is an integral part of our business strategy and must be supported by all employees. We will regularly review this policy and revise it as necessary to ensure it remains relevant and effective in achieving our social responsibility objectives.

Remediation plan for concerns in the supply chain:

We understand that concerns may arise from time to time, and we are committed to addressing these concerns in a timely and effective manner. The following remediation plan outlines the steps we will take if any of these concerns are identified in our supply base:

  1. Identification and Assessment of Concerns: We will identify and assess concerns related to environmental sustainability, labour practices, human rights, health and safety, and anti-corruption in our supply base. This will be done through regular risk assessments and audits, as well as through any reports or concerns raised by our employees, customers, or other stakeholders
  2. Communication with Suppliers: When a concern is identified, we will communicate with the supplier to understand the issue and request corrective action. We will also provide guidance and support to the supplier on how to address the issue and prevent similar concerns from arising in the future
  3. Corrective Action Plan: We will work with the supplier to develop a corrective action plan that outlines the specific steps that will be taken to address the concern. The corrective action plan will include a timeline for implementation and will be reviewed regularly to ensure that progress is being made
  4. Verification and Follow-Up: We will verify that the corrective action plan has been implemented and that the concern has been addressed. We will also conduct follow-up assessments to ensure that the issue has been resolved and that the supplier has implemented measures to prevent similar concerns from arising in the future
  5. Continued Engagement: We will continue to engage with the supplier to monitor progress and ensure ongoing compliance with our social responsibility standards. This will include regular communication, monitoring, and assessment, as well as ongoing training and support to promote continuous improvement

If a supplier is unable or unwilling to address the concern, we will take appropriate action, which may include termination of the business relationship.
